Artificial Intelligence tools have already entered a number of educational contexts, demonstrating that teaching and learning with AI can bring much better results and facilitate a big number of processes which used to take much time from teachers and students in the settings of traditional learning.
With the abilities to analyse, generate, and process any type of textual and visual input, AI has a huge potential to revolutionise teaching languages and turn it into a much more exciting process than boring drills and assignments.
At the same time, with the rapid development of technologies and their penetration into education of all countries, skills and competences of teachers to use innovative solutions in their classrooms are one the cutting edge stones in boosting their careers in international education and build more ambitious plans for future.
This course “AI in EFL Teaching” is designed to meet the needs of EFL teachers to:
- Develop understanding of AI and its applications in teaching languages and namely in EFL;
- Overview the challenges of EFL and how they can be met with AI applications;
- Analyse different AL tools and get skills of their application for developing different EFL skills (speaking, listening, reading, writing);
- Develop a comprehensive system of skills of using AI tools at the levels of managing an EFL classroom, setting an EFL course, teaching EFL skills (speaking, listening, reading, writing), assessment and evaluation.

AI Tools and Skills
At the course, the participants will learn and get skills of using AI tools designed to:

- Facilitate immersive language practice through chartbots and language processing tools;
- Boost language skills of speaking, listening, writing and reading through personalised feedbacks, etc.
Apart from the technical and teaching skills, the participants will learn how to:
- Develop teaching materials with AI;
- Enhance students’ skills of editing, analysing, critical thinking, evaluating, creating while using AI tools in their learning;
- Develop commercial EFL projects with AI tools.
