IATELS 2024 Review
2024 is coming to the end, and it is the time to sum up the year and our main achievements.
This year has passed very quickly with different projects, plans and partnerships.
We can call this year a year of the partnership enhancement and strengthening the Association’s positions for organising the conferences and launching new educational projects and programs.
Here are the main points and outcomes of 2024 we would like to highlight.
- Our annual conferences ICLTE on Language Studies, Translation and Education, ICPATME on Education and Technology and APBM International Conference on Applied Psychology and Business Management have grown in the number of the participants, geography of the presenters and a number of the partner organisations which supported the conferences and contributed to their content and development.
- Though ICLTE, our IV International Conference on Language Studies, Translation and Education was held in the end of 2023, its outcomes were still on during the first part of the year. Our team was working on the conference proceedings, busy with reviewing the papers, editing the book and all other publishing processes. The book was successfully released including the papers by the authors from India, Albania, Mexico, Morocco, Ireland, Netherlands, Turkey and other countries.
- In June, we held our V International Conference on Education and Technology ICPATME 2024. Though it was already summer time, the time of annual leaves and vacations, the conference attracted the speakers from Australia, India, Pakistan, Iran, Nigeria and other countries who presented their studies on Artificial Intelligence in Education, Language Education, innovative technological solutions for teaching different subjects to the university students, and many other issues. The papers submitted to the conference were reviewed for publishing in IJPATME journal and its thematic issues are going to be released very soon.
- October was the month of APBM 2024, our 5th International Conference on Applied Psychology and Business Management which was held in partnership with Galgotias University (India). The conference was a big success in terms of its content and organisation. The participants highly evaluated the contribution of the students and academicians of Galgotias University for cultural programs and moderation of the session discussions. The papers submitted by the authors from Australia, Pakistan, Mexico, Taiwan, India, Turkey were taken for reviewing to be published in the book of the conference proceedings and as chapters in the monographs which will be submitted for evaluation and publishing in Springer Publishing House.
- Based on the growing interest of the international academicians in the conferences of IATELS and our strivings to hold our conferences at a high level of their organisation and a quality of presentations, we have developed publishing frameworks accordingly. Full papers are processed for publishing in the books of the conference proceedings which, in their turn, are planned to be submitted for indexing in the Web of Science, simultaneously, we work on the monograph projects to be submitted to Springer Publishing House as monographs and books based on the submissions of our presenters and speakers.
- At our conferences, we are always stressing that the conference is not the final point but the point of a start in our collaboration, further partnerships and cooperation for more projects and programs. With this approach, we have developed a number of new partnerships with academicians and institutions from different countries of the world including India, Pakistan, Australia, Ukraine, Canada, Turkey, Albania and other countries.
- In 2024 we are happy to celebrate 4 years of our partnership and collaboration with Galgotias University (India), launching our partnerships with the University of Management and Technology (Pakistan), reshaping and strengthening our collaboration with Curtin University (Australia) which is one of the top ranked universities in the world, launching partnerships with a number of educational institutions and entities in Turkey, launching agreements with the academicians and universities in Ukraine, stretching our ties to Canadian schools and universities.
- Apart from formal agreements on partnerships and collaborations, we have established and enjoyed very fruitful and rewarding ties with the academicians from Albania, Ireland, Turkey, Nigeria, UK, Canada, India, Mexico, Taiwan and other countries.
- Our English Worldwide IATELS Online Academy strengthened its position via developing more elaborated teaching methodology and shaping strategies of online teaching and learning. A big number of classes and students from different countries signed up for the group and individual classes to be taught by the language teachers and trainers of our Academy. The strategic plan and focus on Academic English and English for Business were streamlined into a number of courses and programs which were developed and delivered to the students of different English levels and professional backgrounds.
- Under the umbrella of IATELS, we have developed and launched new training programs and courses. There were two pilot programs launched in connection with AI in Education and AI in Language Teaching. Both programs attracted a lot of interest from academicians, students and practicing teachers who were looking for the opportunities to develop their idea together with the practical skills within AI and strategies of implementing it for teaching and learning purposes.
- Within our organisation, a new entity was established and launched. The entity named “Business Psychology” is aimed to enhance knowledge in the field of business and organisational psychology, provide training, consultancy and courses to psychologists, students, business leaders and all those who are interested in psychology and its application to businesses and organisations for enhancing their productivity and effectiveness.
- Apart from all formal organisations, conferences, classes, meetings and partnerships, we should definitely highlight the work of our team for their efforts, creativity and consistency in developing contents about the Association and its work during this year. A big number of posts, articles, announcements with graphic design, content writing, website updating and support, communication with our partners, members, participants, students and all those who were interested in our work and activities – all that was the parts of our daily work which we were happy to dedicate to our aims of strengthening international collaboration in education and research, developing new ideas and projects and creating more professional opportunities for our partners and members globally.
